(Airs Sat., Sept. 26 @ Noon & Sun., Sept. 27 @ 7 p.m. - 89.3 FM)

Elphicks Gallery in London said about Weidman's art:

These have to be seen in the flesh.

Well, if you're in the L.A./Glendale area on Sun., Oct. 4, you'll get your chance to see both Weidman's artwork and the iconic master himself in the flesh.

David Weidman will be on hand to chat about his life's work in serigraph printmaking and animation, and sign a copy of his latest book The Whimsical Works of David Weidman (and Also SomeSerious Ones), and Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (by Darrell Van Citters who will also be in attendance to sign his book about this wonderful animated feature).

The Whimsical Works of David Weidman has been collecting favorable reviews from fans and reviewers. Check out the favorable NY Times Review at http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/12/garden/12decor.html and the "buzz" around Weidman's art and book:

His work brings back memories of childhood

Saturdays spent in front of the T.V. with a
bowl of cereal.
- Steven Kurlitz, New York Times

They were worlds of his own creation,
the characters were simply drawn into it."
- Steve Zeitoff Swindle

His graphics are stunning and
timeless with remarkable style.
- Marc Aspinall

I bought this book after it
practically jumped off the shelf.

The LA Weekly Event

David and Dorothy had a great time at the LA Weekly event.  Many young graphic artists enjoyed meeting David and talking to him about how he made his prints.  There is a quality to hand made silk screens that cannot be achieved any other way - and certainly not through the electronic technics of today.  Feel free to contact us at the email on our site.
