David Weidman's upcoming exhibit at Bermudez Projects focuses on his series of non-representational "Modernist" prints. Replete with deep, saturated colors -- reminiscent of Rothko's color-field paintings and Kandinsky's abstract expressionism -- this series re-affirms Weidman's mastery of color, shapes, patterns and composition. The exhibit will present over 12 works -- including a rare, never-before-seen print -- as well as the popular book, The Whimsical Works of David Weidman. Congruent with Pacific Standard Time, an initiative of the Getty celebrating the birth of the LA art scene with over 60 cultural institutions across Southern California participating. This show dove-tails beautifully with the other exhibits.

The exhibit opens Friday, November 11 6-9p and runs through December 1

David Weidman's vintage prints are now available in the "RetroRow" area of Long Beach, California. Newly renovated, the "Vintage Collective" store is now managed under the creative eye of Amanda Beckman.

David and Dorothy had a great time at the LA Weekly event. Many young graphic artists enjoyed meeting David and talking to him about how he made his prints. Come see the prints in person! We will have many prints on display that are not on our site and David Weidman will be doing a book signing this coming Sat April 25 at the LA Weekly's "LA Weekend". The Montalban Theatre 1615 N. Vine in Hollywood. Please come and say hello. The event is free and starts at noon. The signing is at 3pm.
